Gotta make that dough! Literally and figuratively...

So today was a busy day! This morning I woke up, pampered myself a little by painting my nails a pretty pink shade of polish. After breakfast, I decided to walk up to Skein Attraction, a lovely little knitting boutique on Cedar Lane which is only a block away from our apartment! I have always wanted to learn how to knit and for Christmas Mike got me a gift certificate for a private lesson at Skein Attraction with the owner Shaina. It is such a thoughtful gift :) My lesson is scheduled for this Thursday, and I couldn't be more excited! Everyone, just givin ya a heads up...expect all of your b-day and Christmas presents to be knitted goods! I mean business! ;)

Well, after I headed back from Skein Attraction, I decided to go grocery shopping to pick up some essentials for tonights dinner. I am making slow cooked chicken soup with our new Crock Pot! I decided to get turnips, carrots, collard greens to compliment the chicken we have left over from last nights dinner. There is nothing better than chicken slow cooked until it falls off the bone! Yum! I am also making homemade bread which is an experiment since I have never made bread before...Mike is my guinea pig! Right now it is in the oven and it smells good...I can't wait to try it! We are having a late dinner tonight, but it will be so worth it! I currently have been in the process of applying for jobs which I actually do not mind...I try to make it into a game so it keeps the process fun.

As you all know, my goal is to go back to school for teaching. Well, I thought I would find a job that would provide me the flexibility and ease while I am taking courses, and thought reception work would offer this. I have experience working as a receptionist and it will provide me with steady work, good money, and benefits as well. I figured this would be perfect to pay the bills and offer me time to dedicate towards my classwork. Gotta make that dough! Right? ;)
